Branding for a new restaurant

Lovnis is the new renovation project of the owners at Taberna Arzábal, reborn as a reformulation in quality of the traditional Spanish combination plate. Flying off on this premise, Erretres developed the naming, visual identity and all its applications.

Creative concept

The creative concept is a result of the sum of love for quality gastronomy, combination plates (in Spanish: “platos”) and flying saucers (“platillos”), and positions the kitchen as the control center of all the elements which conforms to the concept.

Two words are joined: “dish” / “platillo” (UFO; OVNI, in Spanish) and “Love” –for that gastronomic formula of our collective memory–; the result is LOVNIS. The naming manifests the love of the beings from another world that abducts foods to create extraordinary dishes. The identity is creatively based on the control panels of spacecraft and keyboards that creates a graphic system from combinatorial keyboard parts.

At Lovnis, you do not have to book, “Abducido” is the word for booking, and each “caña” is served by a perfect equation. The alien concept rises the Brand beyond the gravity involving all applications in foil and Martian resources that make up a 360º unique experience.

Brand implementation

Erretres developed the entire creative concept as well as the story-telling behind the project. The visual identity is expressed as a combination of pieces similar to a computer keyboard. The developed applications are implemented from the corporate stationery to the waiters’ uniforms, to the menus and the creative management of the interior design.

Photographic direction

For the communication of Lovnis, we made the Creative Direction for the photo shoot involving iconic products in foil for them to look like delicacies without gravity.

With the use of color, space materials, projections, light boxes and even structural drawings painted in the toilets, LOVNIS represents a groundbreaking and unconventional proposal in haute cuisine.
